Writing About What You Love!

Is my writing any good?

Word Press is an open source publishing application which can also be used for basic content management. It has many features including a user-friendly workflow, rich plug-in architecture, and an advanced template system.  Word press is the most popular blog software in use today.

If you like to write, and need to remind yourself of what works the best for your blog, then you need to read on… Where do I learn Word Press, Word Press classroom, Learn Word Press

First a little history…

Word Press was first released in May 2003 by Matt Mullenweg , a modern day software and program innovator.  As of September 2009, it is being used by 202 million websites worldwide. More info about word press can be found on Wikipedia. The platform in which Word Press is built on, lends itself to the freedom of expressing your-self, a liberty that is still enjoyed in this country. As a result of this Word Press phenomena, the advent of learning good writing skills has now become the main ingredient and has enabled people of all levels to write about the things they love to write about. Those things that you now write about can be seen worldwide, creating an instant audience for interesting content and a sure way to convey messages, opinions, statements, thoughts, business marketing and many other applications.

Bravo to all those who love to write.

Word Press, however, does require a learning curve, many people have taken the task of learning this platform on their own, some with success and for others Word Press is still out of their reach in so much that its somewhat difficult to execute without a little help. Since this platform has become so popular there has been an increase in tutorial sites such as the Word Press classroom in an effort to bridge the gap of understanding and implementation so that those who have difficulty can now take an online course on just how to set up and run a Word Press site.

Since its inception, there are now a couple of different platform versions, dot-com and dot-org. The first version dot com is a more controlled environment. It runs a proprietary code. It is financially supported via paid upgrades, “VIP” services and limited Google Ad sense advertising. It offers staff support and is populated by many interesting people who offer real value and useful information. It also has a strict use policy as to what you are allowed to do within their platform environment.

They really don’t like you to promote business’s, affiliate links, blatant advertising, unless it offers value added content. The dot com version prefers topics and subjects that are of an educational nature and value in a variety of topics.

This particular blog, Internet marketing for today is an open source platform, dot org. You’ll find that the majority of marketing blogsites out there are of an open source origin. You’re basically on your own and free to control its content and design.  You have to provide your own hosting and maintain it periodically. Even though open source has its very own open forum for help. You still need to figure things out for yourself which, all in all, is not such a bad idea, since you now have to learn and deal with your own Word Press creation. It’s basically up to you to optimize your site and to promote your site to market your business.  For those who a need a little help or if you’re just starting , there are many sites that can teach the uses and the basic set up for Word Press,  some are free and others require a cost. Only you can decide which is best for you. The Word Press classroom is just one of many of these sites.

The good thing is, many free resources are of good quality and do offer great value. If you need help with your Word press site and want to know how to go about making it look nice all you need to do is just tap into the many resources that are available on the NET.

There are many video tutorials on you tube that teach how to set up a Word Press site, how to get traffic, and how to make money ! How to be inspired, how to get your creative juices in motion.

Many of these training videos are easy to follow; I set up my blog in less than an hour. The cool thing about the whole process is that once it’s installed, you can occasionally write about the things you love and the things you want to write about. It’s not really hard because you should be writing about things you enjoy and that should not be a difficult task especially if your heart is in it.

Creativity is the name of the game and good content should be the same, in closing;  a good idea is always appreciated, a solution to a task is invaluable, and answer to a problem can make someone’s day, offering daily advice can guide others in the right direction.

Here are some good content sites which I found are very helpful…perhaps they may be for you as well…very good reading
